In the Summer of 1996, I was 11 years old and I wanted nothing more than my own computer. My parents were unable to afford such a luxury, and the thought of them paying monthly for AOL when the essential utilities weren’t getting paid every month wasn’t going to happen. My wish was about to be granted, but not in the way I expected.
Enter, WebTV. WebTV looked like a cable box that hooked up to your TV. It allowed you to surf the web, chat, e-mail… all the usual stuff you could do on the internet back in ’96. My dad got his tax return that year and we decided to spend the $329 for one. I’m telling you this because it’s thanks to this little invention that I’m able to do what I’m doing today. WebTV was my introduction into the internet, and fueled my passion for web design and development.
By the age of 12, I was running a WebTV HTML tips page that taught others how to code their own basic websites (we’re talking really basic) using the WebTV software while also preaching the importance of keeping wolves off the endangered species list (I was a caring little kid). Since then, I continue to be completely self-taught when it comes to anything involving web technology.
I launched ChainStrike.net on Wednesday, March 28th 2018; the day that Chain Strike was launched to Global audiences in the App Store and Google Play Stores. Since that day, we continue to see growth day by day in the number of active visitors on our website. We receive visitors via the /r/Chain_Strike subreddit, Google/Internet Searches, word of mouth, and our advertising partners.
I have also launched MOEGlobal.net, DanMemo.us, FFAwakening.com, HPHogwartsMysteryGuide.com, MapleStoryM.net, and several others – all under the “JoshieLove.com Network“. I also operate and moderate several of the Discord and Subreddit communities for these games. This has become my full-time job, and I love every second of it.
We are proud to affiliate with these folks who share the same standards as us when it comes to creating gaming communities:
In order for this all to continue – we need support from advertisers, affiliates, and community members like you.
I am wanting to support all types of game development/apps/gaming websites, though our specialty is mobile gaming for iOS and Android devices. I am happy to share up-to-date unique visitor counts for any or all of the websites in our network privately, and I am willing to work with budgets of all sizes.
